Description

The table lamps stand on cylindrical purple crystal glass plinths, their middles encircled by cut-glass cross-hatchings. Each plinth is edged by an ormolu (gilt bronze) beaded band, set on a square ormolu base on four paw feet. The stems of the lamps take the form of classical campagna vases with ormolu twin-handled lower bodies and purple crystal glass necks. These ormolu lower bodies are decorated with beading, stiff-leaves and diaper work. Their glass necks are fluted and their middles encircled by cross-hatchings. The vase-form stems are topped by purple crystal glass covers which are decorated with cross-hatched bands and edged with ormolu. The lids are crowned by bulb sockets.

Once turned on, the lamps will create a warm light which will glow through the clear purple crystal glass and reflect off the lustrous golden ormolu surfaces.
