The pedestals in this pair are wrought from ormolu mounted malachite in the Neoclassical style. Each pedestal features a square profile shaft, which tapers from a wider top to a narrower bottom. The shaft is topped by an ormolu capital moulded with acanthus leaves, which is in turn surmounted by a stepped malachite plateau. The shaft is set to each top corner with an ormolu female mask and is adorned below with an acanthus leaf moulded ormolu base. Each pedestal is set on a malachite plinth above four ormolu feet.
